Ronald Ribman's poignant comedy about
life and death is a surprisingly funny play. While it is the Winner of the
1977 NY Drama Critics Award, it is as timely today as it was when it was
written. It brings an older Armenian friut and vegetable man together with
a Jewish art investment adviser on the roof top of a NY hospital. One man
is facing life and the other is facing death. Joe Parmigian loves life too
much to give up without a fight. Landau believes there is a meaning to
