Cold Storage

By Ronald Ribman

Directed by Jill McMahon

Ronald Ribman's poignant comedy about life and death is a surprisingly funny play. While it is the Winner of the 1977 NY Drama Critics Award, it is as timely today as it was when it was written. It brings an older Armenian friut and vegetable man together with a Jewish art investment adviser on the roof top of a NY hospital. One man is facing life and the other is facing death. Joe Parmigian loves life too much to give up without a fight. Landau believes there is a meaning to life, he just doesn't know what it is. Through questioning, probing and badgering, Joe is able to arrive at Landau's shocking truth. This is an upbeat play about a very serious subject. One thing is certain: life, death and humor will never go away.

"Graceful, intelligent and worthwhile"--NY Times;

"Funny, assertive and entertaining"--NY Post
