|
This is a rollicking version of the old fairy tale. The Beast is very lonely. His Fairy Godmother convinces him it is his bad manners and not his looks that frighten people away. With her encouragement, he vows to change his ways. But he is hard-pressed to remember his good manners when he is confronted by the distraught Mr. Merryweather and his/her rather strong-willed daughter, Beauty. However, despite some early misunderstnadings of Beauty's two spiteful sisters, true love triumphs, and Beauty and the Beast, now a handsome prince, prepare to live happily ever after. There will be a gala celebration on opening night when everyone is invited to have cake and punch with the entire cast. It will be a chance for the children to meet the characters. Have a visit and even dance with the actors, if the children would like. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite costume. Come as any character you would like. Regular clothes are also fine. Children are always invited to wear costumes to all shows of the Little BIT Players.
